Thinking about joining us? Hopefully you can find all the info you need below.

 

  • Where and When do you rehearse?
    We rehearse on Sunday 3pm-5pm, in the church hall of Bourtreehill Relief Parish.

  • Who Can Join?
    Anyone above the age of 16 can join. There is no upper age limit for the choir.
    If you are under 16 and wish to join, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.

 

  • What Experience do I need?
    Whether you have sung in a choir before, if you are a classical soprano, or even if you only sing in the shower, you are more than welcome to join us.

 

  • Do I have to Audition?
    No, we accept anyone interested in joining without audition.

 

  • Do I need to be able to read music?
    In short, No.
    Where it would be beneficial if you could read music, it’s not essential.
    A larger percentage of the choir can’t read music over those that can.

 

  • How much does it cost to join?
    There is an annual subscription fee of £5 and a weekly subscription of £1.50 per rehearsal.
    Please Note: Even if you miss a rehearsal, members must pay the £1.50 subscription fee for every week that the choir runs. The reason for this is because the choir still have outgoings for rental of the hall etc…
